Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song is a story about time traveling ai and an unfulfilled songstress ai going on a quest to save humanity by destroying ai's. Great animation and choreography, great music and sound design, but the story is paper-thin. The premise was very promising, but they just had to rush all the subplots into 1 or 2 episodes each, effectively losing long-term audience involvement and any sort of meaningful world-building. These are usually more profitable and less risky since they have an established fanbase. Solid anime originals have become far and few between.
