Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4, also known as Absolute Doom, will see Doctor Doom and his team of no-gooders face off against a team of heroes led by Captain Jonesy.
The Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 trailer has just dropped, and we've watched it over and over and over, so you don't have to. Here are five things you might've missed from the Absolute Doom trailer.
There's a lot going on in the world of Fortnite right now. In the last week alone there's been a Fortnite live event, a Fortnite D23 Disney live stream, a major change to Fortnite Battle Pass skin availability and even one last Fortnite update before Chapter 5 Season 3 ends early and Chapter 5 Season 4 begins.
But Epic Games isn't done yet because, ahead of the launch of the upcoming season, Absolute Doom, it has just dropped the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 trailer, which gives players their first glimpse at the new Marvel-themed season including some of the new skins, new POIs, unvaulted weapons, returning vehicles and more. Here are five things you might've missed from the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 trailer.
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 trailer breakdown
Epic posted the official Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 trailer on the Fortnite YouTube channel, and we'll embed the video down below so you can watch it too. But before you watch it, or maybe you have but want to learn more about what your eyes were seeing, we've looked at five things you might've missed.
Galactus' return?!
At the 52-second mark in the trailer, your eyes might be drawn to Shuri's Mythics or Emma Frost flying into the sky, but if you pause the trailer just as Shuri is about to jump, you'll notice a large structure in the background, which might look generic at first, but on closer inspection looks incredibly similar to Galactus' helmet (something also noticed by Fortnite leaker @Hypex). For those not in the know, Galactus is a cosmic entity that consumes planets and is a character that played a major role in Chapter 2 Season 4 and, more specifically, during that season's live event, with this Marvel villain eventually becoming absolutely humungous and dwarfing the map itself.
Could Galactus be returning for Chapter 5 Season 4? We think it very well might!
The train and Choppa returning
It seems that two iconic vehicles could be returning to Fortnite in the upcoming season, with the train and Choppa both spotted in the new trailer. At the 57-second mark, if you look in the top right of the video, you can clearly see a train track bending around the trees, and why put a train track there if there's not going to be a train?! The train was last seen in Chapter 5 Season 1, but looks set to return this season.
And it's the same story for the Choppa, which you can catch a glimpse of at the 16-second mark in the trailer. Well, technically there are two Choppas, with the two vehicles circling a prison. Oh, a prison you say?
New map POIs: Doctor Doom's Castle (Latveria) and Prison
Talking of a prison, you can see the outside of the structure at the 16-second mark, with the next few seconds showing Doctor Doom and his minions breaking into the prison and freeing Mysterio, another troubled Marvel villain, basically confirming the location as a new POI in the new Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 map. You can catch a glimpse at the inside of this POI at the 51-second mark, which seems to be full of AI bots. It's also very possible that this isn't the new Prison POI, and this new location is in fact below Doctor Doom's castle, but based on the trailer, we're pretty confident with our educated guess.
But that's not all, because Doctor Doom will also have his very own castle POI too, with Marvel itself confirming via a Twitter post that the castle is officially located in a new area on the map called Latveria, which just happens to be the fictional country Doom ruled over in the comics. You can see the new POI at the 30-second mark in the trailer, in which the season's antagonist rises the castle out of the ground. The interior of the castle can also be seen from the 1-minute 12-second mark, with the location having strong gothic and evil lair vibes (obviously).
Unvaulted weapons
The eagle-eyed @Hypex is at it again, compiling a list of new and returning weapons in Fortnite Absolute Doom that are shown in the trailer, which we've shared below:

But something else we noticed at the 38-second mark is that the character to the right of Jonesy Captain America is using the Stark Rifle, a Pulse Rifle that was last seen in Chapter 2 Season 4!

There's so much going on in this Fortnite trailer, so much so that you might have missed some of the new or returning skins on show. Here's every skin we noticed from the trailer:

Fishpool (a Deadpool-themed variant of the rare Fishstick) was revealed (kind of) at the Foprtnite D23 livestream which you can relive on the Fortnite TikTok account. And although we didn't see it in the trailer, there was also a Peely Deadpool spotted at the in-person Disney D23 event (spotted here by Fortnite leaker @ShiinaBR) which indicates that Deadpeel (or PeelPool?!) may make an appearance in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 at some stage, which would definitely be on brand.
